How to find us
We recommend that you travel to France via the Western Channel ferry crossings. St Simon
de Pellouaille is just under five hours drive from the ferry port at St Malo, and about seven
hours (allowing for breaks in your journey) from Caen and Cherbourg, all ports served by
Brittany Ferries. The journey is about nine hours from Calais.
From St Malo or Cherbourg head for Rennes and then take the road to Nantes. From Nantes,
where you cross the Loire on the spectacular Pont de Cheviré follow the signs to Bordeaux.
This will bring you on to the A89 motorway, which joins the A10 motorway at Niort. Continue
following the signs to Bordeaux. Leave the A10 at Pons (junction 36). Motorway tolls are
about £10. We will provide you with detailed directions from Pons to St Simon with your
booking confirmation.
From Caen, head south to Le Mans, continue to Tours on the A28 where you join the A10.
Follow the signs to Bordeaux, leaving at Pons (junction 36).
If you are crossing the Channel to Calais, you can bypass Paris. Take the A16 south past
Boulogne to Abbeville, then join the A28 to Tours via Rouen and Le Mans. At Tours join the
A10 and follow the signs to Bordeaux, leaving at Pons (junction 36).
